Sandra Bullock makes her return to the romantic comedy genre after more than a decade with the action-adventure comedy film, 'The Lost City' alongside Channing Tatum, directed by the Nee brothers, this film is better than expected. 'The Lost City' follows a reclusive romance novelist on a book tour with her cover model who gets swept up in a kidnapping attempt that lands them both in a cutthroat jungle adventure.

This film is no doubt one of the most surprising films I've ever watched, from the plot I was expecting a dumb flick that will mirror jungle-based films like 'Jumanji' and 'Jungle Cruise', but I was met with a film that is so beautiful and unique it redefines the rom-com genre. The plot was directed in a way that keeps the audience engaged throughout, coupled with hilarious moments that is perfectly balanced with its adventurous side.

The chemistry between Sandra and Channing was perfect, with both portraying the enemies to lovers' dynamics beautifully. The cinematography is amazing and the soundtrack - damn! One of the best parts of the film - was flawless, pulling inspirations from series like 'Peaky Blinders'. The action scenes were beautiful chereographed and that Brad Pitt cameo is everything. While it isn't perfect, the film will last the test of time, a beautiful watch.
